Our Story

Christian Heritage Ministries was conceived and birthed by two different people brought together by the mercies of God: Stanley Okoro and Iyabode Olufunlayo Akinkugbe were burdened and doing God’s work in various capacities and at different locations in Nigeria before God connected them. They later got married and synchronized their visions while still in the United States of America and founded what we call Christian Heritage Ministries (C.H.M.) in 1991.

In 1992, they returned to their country Nigeria as the vision is for them help Nigerian families use biblical principles to build their marriages and families. As pioneers, they worked assiduously and conscientiously to position C.H.M. appropriately as God engraced them.

In March 2011, they retired and passed the baton to Akin and ‘Debola Ibitokun a couple who had been tutored and nurtured to continue the legacy.

For these many years we have witnessed God demonstrate His faithfulness in counseling hundreds of people for marriage and helping to transform and mend countless lives, homes and families in Nigeria and beyond.
